| When I first started looking into foreclosure investing, I thought that most guys who did this style of investing were spoiled fatcats who preyed upon unfortunate homeowner, that for whatever reason had trouble paying their home loans. Sometimes, people simply have problems with money and when they do usually the home loan is the first to not be paid. We all know what happens after that ... The bad guys jump in, buy the home and property for pennies on the dollar, and then turn around and sell it for a huge profit. There are people out there who buy and sell foreclosures unethically and without remorse. These scum don't care about families and their homes, all they want it the money. Many families though, have been helped by the good people who do foreclosure investing properly and ethically. These sorts of people know that money is tight right now, so they do everything they can do help the home owners. Usually it's not the homeowners faults. Most of the time it's not something they could have controled. People get laid off, families fall apart and people die; all these are unforseeable and all lead to the same dark road. Just like rubbing salt in a wound, these poor families are hounded by debt collectors, collection agencies and others all while being threated with eviction. Just like any foreclosure investor, ones who deal with foreclosure investing also strive for profit. Successful ethical investors however, seek solutions which are win-win for everyone. Many people and organizations actually devote day and night to helping troubled homeowners just because it feels good. What sort of foreclosure investor do you want to be? Will you help others or use them? A good foreclosure investor, which you should strive to be, will bring the troubled family a fair and good offer on their lovely home without having to result to evil tactics. This all while still making a profit is essential to a good investor. Speaking from personal experience, nothing feels better than having someone come to you willing to solve your problems without having me loose any money. Foreclosure is extremely stressful, and nothing else. It's like having the weight of the world lifted from your shoulders when someone comes to you offering to fix this horrible situation you are in and allowing you to put it all being you with ease Foreclosure investoring can be troublesome at times since not everyone wants your help. Some people will push you away even though you geniunly want to help them (and profit). It's understandable. You won't always get your way. Many times you will loose out to someone who is less ethical and is out for the quick buck. Don't worry. Personally, I like to wake up in the morning look in the mirror and like what I see. Treat distressed homeowners fairly and with compassion and you will find more opportunities opening up to you than you know what to do with.
